Meeting Copilot guides
What is a meeting copilot?
A meeting copilot is an AI tool that transcribes what the other side says during a meeting and suggests what you could say, based on the proposals, price sheets and past notes you added beforehand. Unlike an AI note taker, which summarizes after the meeting, it helps in the moment you're stuck for an answer.
How it works
- Prepare: note the company, attendees, your role, the goal and agenda, and add materials like proposals, price sheets, product decks and past meeting notes.
- Listen: it hears the meeting and transcribes who said what.
- Suggest: when someone asks or requests something, it finds what to say in your materials and shows it in a small window over your screen or on your phone.
Where it fits
- Client meetings and sales calls: answer questions on pricing, timelines and features from your materials.
- Meetings in another language: transcribe what's said and read suggestions in your own language.
- Recurring meetings: add last time's notes and this week's agenda and keep the thread.
What to check before you trust one
A wrong number or a promise you can't keep is hard to take back in a meeting. Check whether suggestions show where they came from, and whether the tool admits when your materials don't cover something instead of making it up.
SpeechShield takes numbers, prices, dates and commitments only from your materials and tags each with the source title in brackets. When the materials don't say, it tells you so and suggests a question to ask.
Related questions
Does a meeting copilot write meeting notes too?
It depends on the tool. SpeechShield doesn't write summaries or minutes yet. The transcript, suggestions and your notes stay in your history in order, and sessions you chose to record can be played back.
Can I use it without materials?
Yes. For a quick call, start without any and it suggests from the conversation alone. The more you add about the other side, the more specific the suggestions get.
