Meeting Copilot guides
Can AI help me in meetings held in another language?
Yes. AI can transcribe what the other side says and add a translation in your language, and suggest what to say in the meeting's language with a translation underneath. It helps with both listening and speaking, so the effort you spent following along goes into the conversation.
How it works in SpeechShield
- Set the meeting language and the answer language. Each context can have its own.
- Turn on conversation translation to add a translation under what the other side says. It works when speech recognition runs on SpeechShield or Soniox.
- Turn on answer translation to add a translation under each suggestion, with the key point in your language. Answer translation comes with Pro and Max.
- Use your phone as a second screen to read the original and the translation in larger type.
If you only need to follow along
If you want captions and no suggestions, Translation mode fits better. It shows meeting and video audio as continuous original and translated captions, in 13 languages.
Worth doing beforehand
- Add materials in the meeting's language so suggestions use the same wording.
- Note product names and acronyms that come up often in the context.
- Run a practice call to see how fast translations and suggestions appear.

Which languages work?
SpeechShield transcribes and translates meetings in the languages it supports, including English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Spanish. The meeting and answer languages are set separately.
Isn't it awkward to talk while reading a translation?
Glance at the key point and say it in your own words rather than reading the suggestion. With the Key Points style, only a few lines appear.
